G'day, and welcome to our first blog!

Updated: Aug 8

Thanks for stopping by. As this is our first blog we thought it might be a good opportunity to give a bit more information on what we do, why we do it, and who we do it for and a few other things.

What We Do;

We research, design and manufacture all manner of upgrade parts for a wide range of 1/8 and 1/12 Scale model vehicles. You have no doubt found our site because you also have an interest in large scale models, with manufacturers' like Pocher, Airfix, Revell and others being extremely popular.

We have been making model parts for quite a number of years, initially starting with a small metal lathe that we converted to CNC to enable production of parts. Most items were machined Aluminium, however we soon branched into resin casting and decal production.

All these items proved very popular for many years, being almost exclusively wholesaled. In recent years we have made our products available directly to you, and expanded our manufacturing processes to include laser cutting and engraving and 3D Resin Printing.

We are always looking into new technologies, new products than can be used to enhance your builds, and unique procedures to produce equally unique parts (more on this last point in the coming months as we have a few exciting things in development that will allow the production of some fantastic parts for your builds).

Not least of what we do is simply a broad range of parts, both model-specific and general type items like our fasteners, buts and bolts, carbon and woodgrain decal sets that can find a wide range of uses on all sorts of models.

We have eve produced large scale items for use on RC vehicles, and our Sparco Race Seats have found their way into an RC Rock Crawler (*and looked absolutely perfect if we do say so ourselves)!

Why We Do It;

We make these parts because we are car enthusiasts first and foremost, equally detail oriented, and realise that the small details are just as important as the large ones when it comes to making a good model and great one.

Our attention to detail has seen our decals contain multiple languages on the data plates that relate to the actual real-world markets the real car was sold in, we are pedantic enough to ensure the correct number of rows (tube and fins) are present on our 1/8 Pocher Ferrari F40 Setrab Oil Coolers, Radiator and BEHR Intercoolers, and many more tiny details that need to be there to complete the vision, but not necessarily picked up by the casual looker.

Because we design and manufacture our products ourselves, we can do our absolute best to keep prices realistic, while delivering a product that will exceed your expectations.

We understand that our customers do have some options where to spend their ''play money'', and knowing this is harder and harder to come by in the typical family budget, we make sure you get a great quality product, with more than enough spares and extras to complete the job if you have a few little accidents.

Quite possibly one of the biggest motivations of doing has been one of good mental health.

Recent years, lockdowns, isolation, and of course, increased cost of living, are all making things like model building and hobbies in general, a luxury. As a result of this, we are very supportive of model builders, and quite a number of model clubs, and look forward to getting involved in various events in the future.

Being able to take the time out to forget about the world for a while, create a little masterpiece, and add those extra details that make your model a personal one.. well that is why we do this.

Who We Do It For;

Our model parts have gone to all corners of the world, to all manner of customers. Our parts have gone to race engineers of major F1 teams, to mechanical engineers, car enthusiasts, doctors, lawyers, tradies, retirees and everyone in between, but the one thing they all have in common is; the model they are building has some meaning to them. From completing a desired collection or they are recapturing the memories of a car that was their dads' pride and joy, or grandparents had, first car they really wanted rather than could simply afford, that unobtainable dream car, or as one of our customers who has built a beautiful tribute model to remember a loved one, and many more reasons.

Knowing that our parts can go some way to helping each and every customer complete that build, from being to complete a collection, or a very personal meaning, we feel very privileged to be part of of these builds.

We have also made a great network of customers we now call friends, and enjoy not only the model talk, but the general chit-chat about life in other places.

Model building is largely a solo-hobby, aside from the club meets, and various forums online, it is not a team-sport, so we do our little bit to make products that let our customers complete these special builds, and have some good conversation along the way.

What's Next;

Our plan is to continue to expand our product range and add more features to the website.

We will also be doing a blog series of ''how-to's'' for various subjects that have been requested by our customers, and showing new-release products so we are looking forward to this.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, hopefully over time you will see us produce informative and high quality blogs that are of benefit to you.
